The 'Hoy No Circula' program establishes measures applicable to vehicular traffic, with the aim of preventing, minimizing, and controlling the emission of pollutants. In order to standardize and minimize the impact in the Megalopolis, Mexico City, and the State of Mexico, this measure was established to limit the circulation of private vehicles, regardless of the origin of the license plates. Different from the program used from Monday to Friday, the cars that cannot circulate will depend on both the hologram and the license plate ending, divided into even (0-2-4-6-8) and odd (1-3-5-7-9). On Saturdays, it will be vehicles with hologram 2 and license plates without a number. It is important to mention that in the same way, vehicles with Hologram 1 and an odd plate ending do not circulate on the first and Saturday of each month.
